We had a spirited attempt to capture our rogue stot and failed miserably. We went up to the corral just before dark, where we had previously put food. Our friend was in eating when we arrived and raced out as we approached, standing about 20 yards off. We backed off in the vehicle and then Ali slipped back to a place where he could get to the gate to close it if she came back in; which she did after about 15 minutes.
So far, so good. The gate was shut and our stot captive for about 30 seconds. Unfortunately he turned and jumped the corral and went on his way. He cleared a five foot fence as if it wasn’t there. A little bit more thinking is still required!
