Frost in August

 

We received the picture above this morning from friends in Carrbridge. I don’t think it was quite so cold here but it was white all over at 6.30am and only 1 degree outside our bedroom window at 7.00am.

We are used to Autumn starting early here, but this is ridiculous. Still, the midges won’t like it. And I bet it brings on the rut a bit. We usually here our first roar about a week from now. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a bit earlier this year.
