Like the rest of the country we are sweltering at the moment and, dare I say it, we could use some rain. The river looks as low as I have ever seen it and any fish will need to be in deep holes to survive. There will certainly be no fishing until there has been a fair amount of rain, and there is none forecast for at least the next five days.

What a difference a year makes!
