I have been so busy talking about the calving and the pigs that I have hardly mentioned that we are also in the midst of the lambing.
Under Sarah’s leadership, as she takes a few days away from her ‘desk job’, everything has gone pretty well though of course we have had our share of the normal traumas and losses. The common feature of the lambs this year has been that they are very big, and everyone you speak to seems to be having the same experience. It must be the result of a milder than usual winter not taking as much out of the sheep as expected.
