The wild flowers have been absolutely fantastic at Croick this year, and it is hard to know why. It may be that the prolonged cool weather has been kind to them, or it may be the result of reduced grazing in some key areas. Whatever the cause, the sight of banks of flowers like these Scabious has been the high point of a cold, wet summer.
