We shot the last stag of the season in the darkening on Saturday night. That makes 27 stags this year. I’ll update the stalking records later this week. It has been a good stalking season, although a bit rushed because of other commitments. There have been a good number of stags about though weights seem to have been down slightly. I don’t know whether this is because for carry over from the poor weather this spring, or because it has been a particularly hard rut for the stags. It will be interesting too hear whether weights are down elsewhere as well.
