What a difference a day makes!

They say that one of the characteristics of Northern Scotland is the changeable weather. Well, it has certainly been changeable this week. On Monday we were stalking in the sunshine with marvellous views to the west coast, as you can see in the picture above. Today we are huddled for protection against gale force winds and horizontal rain. It’s hard to imagine it is the same place.

Have you been over to Lochinver, Ronny Ross, many years ago was helping my friends and I stalking on what was then Forest Farm when he pointed to the Assynt hills naming each one and giving us a little history, the area is simply mind blowing but your ground is more stalker friendly.

Thanks for this – was up at Croick on Monday for James Moffat’s 83rd – what a grand day!
