The cycle starts again!
It’s April and the cycle of life starts again with calving and lambing. These are some of our first calves. They have had a tough start in life with endless cold, wet and windy days. And while I managed to … Continue reading

Winter Quarters
The cattle have been scanned and they are all now living in their winter quarters, sheltered in the trees. It’s a nice place to be a cold, crisp day like yesterday.

Emperor Moths
These pictures of Emperor Moths were taken at Croick a few days ago. Many thanks to Nigel Richards who found the moths and took the pictures.

The lamb
Born yesterday, this lamb was taking advantage this morning of sun spilling into the lambing shed. Despite the sun the air temperature is still cold so he will be in the shed for at least another 24 hours.
